Born in Myanmar, Mike Than Tun Win moved to Singapore aged eight, schooled in prestigous Victoria School, then Temasek Junior College and went on to major in marketing at the Nanyang Technological Unversity, and also completed a Minor in Entrepreneurship. Returned to Myanmar since 2010 and founded eight companies across Singapore, Thailand and Myanmar covering pretrochemical, distribution and automotive sector. BOD Tech is founded by Mike in late 2014 with the mission of unleshing Myanmar local entreprenuership through technology and growing together with the Nation.
Nyein Chan Soe Win is the Executive Director at BOD Tech. He is a starter, founded IT hardware distribution company with a local investor in 1999 and the company became second largest IT hardware distributor in Myanmar in two years of his leadership. He migrated to Singapore in 2001 for his study at Nanyang Technological University. Nyein Chan Soe Win spent 7 years with Chevron Corporation in Singapore as IT Professional before relocating back to Myanmar in 2013. Prior to BOD Tech, he led Singapore based regional payment company, 2C2P to expand its business in Myanmar until 2017. In his leadership, 2C2P became not only the leader in payment, but also shaping FinTech and e-commerce ecosystem in Myanmar. He is also the Executive Director & Vice Chairman at FlyMya and Board Member of Blockchain Myanmar. Nyein Chan Soe Win has strong passion in FinTech, Blockchain, Technology for change, EduTech and community based tourism.
John Kaaiohelo is currently director of BOD Tech Board and also serves as the Special advisor to the Chief Investment Officer of Telenor’s Digital Businesses. His areas of responsibility include deal sourcing, valuation, and deal execution across Telenor’s Asian markets. He concurrently serves a joint appointment as Special Advisor to the Chief Strategy Officer.Prior to joining Telenor, John was a Vice President in the Hong Kong offices of Guggenheim Partners, a leading global financial services firm, where he covered equity markets in Korea, China, India, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Prior to that, John spent several years at Ward Ferry Management, a Hong Kong based hedge fund. John is a graduate of Phillips Exeter Academy and earned his A.B. in History from Princeton University, and his A.M. in Regional Studies East Asia from Harvard University, where he was named a Graduate Prize Fellow.
Theta Aye, Independent Director – Theta has over 10 years of experience in the financial services sector, covering both debt and equity capital markets and corporate advisory as well as investment management. Her previous work experiences included: Deputy Managing Director at KBZ Group, Director at KBZSC Securities (Myanmar), Director at Temasek Holdings-backed Dymon Asia Private Equity Southeast Asia Fund in Singapore; Deal Structuring and Portfolio Manager of LNG assets at Shell Eastern Petroleum in Singapore; and Engagement Manager at AT Kearney, and Associate Director at Standard Chartered Bank (Singapore) corporate advisory team where she completed initial public offerings, follow-on fundraising and M&A transactions valued in excess of US$7.0 billion. She completed her undergraduate and graduate education in University of Oxford (UK) and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA).
